Rosedale Mall is one of the best kid-friendly malls in the area. In 2017, the mall underwent an extensive renovation process.
Along with the many exciting additions, the mall added many kid-friendly features. On top of an updated play area and a brand new aquarium, you will find a trackless train. Generally, the Rosedale Mall train hours are the same as the Rosedale mall.
Make sure you check out the little logger’s play area while you are there. It is excellent for kids of all ages as it is fully enclosed, and you can keep your eyes on all your kids from one strategic location.
Another can’t-miss attraction is the new Seaquest Aquarium. It is a 23,000 square foot aquarium that features more than 1,000 marine animals.
End-O-Line Railroad Park & Museum
Step back in time to the early days of the country when rail travel was the principal form of cross country travel. When you visit this museum, you can take a tour of an authentic, historic rail depot.
Your kids will love taking a gander at the HO model train display. They can even see a real, previously fully-functional steam engine complete with a caboose.
While you are there, make sure you walk around the park to experience the feel of an old train town – experience the old-timey general store, foreman’s house, and church. If you visit during the warmer months, take advantage of the 6-mile pedestrian and bike trail in the End-O-Line park.
Jackson Street Roundhouse
If you or your kids are interested in the inner workings of trains, make sure to visit the Jackson Street Roundhouse. This now-closed maintenance facility for steam trains allows your kids the opportunity to learn about local railroad history.
One main attraction you will find here is one of the last operational roundhouse turntables in the United States. You may also find current restorations of classic steam engines, and possibly even some vintage operating equipment on display.

They have a massive amount of train and railway models. Each model or set of models is dressed up with complimentary surrounding scenes.
The marriage of history and fantasy is on full display here. Each individual scene is a historical reproduction designed to teach and entertain. Learn about local landmarks while watching the path of these adorable models.
For the younger ones in your bunch, don’t worry, the museum hasn’t forgotten about them. There is a designated, hands-on play area made especially for time fingers. Let your little ones free to follow their imaginations and test out their promise as train conductors.
