Whether you’re looking for something less hectic than the Super Bowl Experience, or you have several little ones in tow, you’ll find something for everyone to enjoy. Below are some of our top picks for celebrating the SuperBowl for kids!

Super Bowl LIVE Presented by Verizon

The only thing better than a free event is a ten-day celebration. Located at the Nicollet Mall, this family-friendly football extravaganza covers six blocks of exciting venues and activities.

Each day, from Friday, January 26th until the big game kicks off on February 4th, you can mingle with your friends, neighbors, and rivals in this public celebration. Even though there are no admission fees, the festivities are thrilling regardless.

Polaris UpsideDowntown will show off thrilling winter stunts. The pavilion will open all day February 3rd, with featured performances taking to the air at 1:30.

The Built Ford Tough Sleigh Ride will show riders that Santa is due for an upgrade. See for yourself what the official pickup truck of the NFL can do!

The American Birkebeiner International Bridge brings winter fun to the masses. Here you can ski, tube, and more in the center of the action.

Toddler Tuesdays: Touchdown!

Leading up to both the big games, families can see these adorable kittens from North Shore Animal League. On February 4th, you can look forward to the top names in feline entertainment competing on the Hallmark Channel, as well as live updates on Twitter.

Best of all, the Kitten Bowl festivities are part of the free events. Just head inside the Dayton’s Building for the fiercest furry contenders.

Two days before Super Bowl LII kicks off, you can join your friends and neighbors at the Midtown Global Market. Here, from 5:30 pm until 7:30, you can celebrate with others before the game takes over the city.

For two hours, guests can enjoy fresh food, fun activities, crafts, and more! Best of all, they don’t charge admission to attend!

St. Paul Winter Carnival

If the coming Super Bowl doesn’t interest you or your family, the St. Paul Winter Carnival provides a welcomed escape from the football fervor. In fact, they extended their operations an additional week to compensate for the Super Bowl madness.

Those seeking a non-sporting festival will love the family events offered in this winter wonderland. Running until February 10th, there are lots to discover at this annual local gathering.

This annual winter carnival has delighted the community since 1886! This year, expect numerous unique exhibits and offerings.

The Ecolab Ice Palace is a free display which operates daily. Here, guests can purchase bricks, allowing the public to piece together this festive staple.

Rice Park comes to life with bright lights at night. Be sure to take a chilly walk through the illuminated park!

Other activities include parades, treasure hunts, marathons, and more! Whatever your family interests may be, there is something to enjoy here.

The Super Bowl Experience

Although this may be the most expensive event on the list, it’s still relatively affordable. Admission will run you $35 per adult, and $25 per child aged 12 or younger.
