This weekend Minneapolis will host the 52nd annual Super Bowl, and our very own U.S. Bank Stadium will be packed to the brim with football fans cheering on their favorite team. The Philadelphia Eagles, who will make their third appearance at the Super Bowl and the New England Patriots, who are returning for their record-breaking tenth time, will be battling it out for this coveted championship.

This game is promising to be a nail-biter as these two teams have previously faced off in 2005 for Super Bowl XXXIX. The Patriots took home the win that year, 24-21.

At Twin City Kids Club we are thrilled and excited for our beautiful city to be the host of this year’s Super Bowl. Minneapolis has so much to offer families, and now we get to share our great city with the entire country.

The Super Bowl isn’t the only exciting thing going on in Minneapolis this weekend. If you are searching for some fun for the family before game day and you don’t mind heights and frigid temperatures, then you could be one of the lucky 10,000 fans that get to take advantage of Bold North Ziplines’ exciting Zipline experience.

As a part of Super Bowl Live, Bold North Zipline is giving 10,000 brave fans the chance to cross the Mississippi River, on well you guessed it, a zip line. Minneapolis’s very own mayor-elect, Jacob Frey, took the very first ride himself on the opening night of Super Bowl Live on January 26th.

Whats Super Bowl Live you ask? Easy, Super Bowl live is the ten fun-filled days leading up to game day. It is being held in downtown Minneapolis and is providing endless entertainment for families looking to take advantage of the all of the Super Bowl excitement. Super Bowl Live started on January 26th and will go through the game day on February 4th.

While many parts of the US are still being battered down by an unseasonably cold winter, Minnesota natives are unphased by the freezing February temperatures. Whether you’re a Minnesota native or an adventure enthusiast who doesn’t mind the cold weather, for just $30 per person, we think this zip line experience sounds like a blast. It is best to buy your tickets ahead of time. Since they are in high demand, tickets are no longer available for same day purchase. If you are one of the lucky 10,000 participants who can take advantage of this amazing zipline experience, Bold North Zipline has taken care of all of the details for you. The day of your experience, you will ride a shuttle from the Bold North Zipline headquarters, located in the Nicollet Mall, to Nicolette Island. Once you have arrived at Nicollet Island, you will climb the launch tower and begin your zipline experience across the Mississippi River.

If zooming across the Mississippi River in the dead of winter at over 100 ft through the air and in 30 mph winds across a 750- foot-long zip line doesn’t sound like your cup of tea then, no sweat. Minneapolis has a ton to offer you and your family. If you are looking for adventure, but not sure about braving the cold and heights, then we encourage you to check out the Mall Of Americas 55-foot tall Barnacle Blast, North America’s longest indoor zip-line experience.
