Jim’s Apple Farm is a family-owned business that dates back to the 1930s. They are Minnesota’s largest candy store! They have been at their current location for 38 years.
The store is located in Jordan, Minnesota. It is a twin city favorite and a must for all Minnesota families! They have a huge store that is double the size of a football field and a half long. Imagine the wonderland within those walls.
Jim’s Apple Farm is a seasonal business. It is open from Mid-May through November. Now is an ideal time to take advantage of the summer produce and goods available.
Some of what you might find include apples, candy, fall produce, baked goods, jigsaw puzzles, and gift shop items. Who can resist a true Minnesota favorite, Killebrew Root Beer.
Many of their products are raised or made locally, so you know you are supporting local Minnesota businesses.

There are so many fantastic items to find at Minnesota’s largest candy store, and it isn’t just candy! These include many hard to find items, including sweets, a variety of popcorn, licorice, taffy, pasta, meats, and baked goods. They also have the world’s largest selection of sodas! It is every child’s (and adult child’s), dream come true.

Though Jim’s Apple Farm offers a variety of products, it is known for candy. It is, after all, Minnesota’s largest candy store! They house candy from across the globe.
A favorite of many is “nostalgic candy.” They offer many hard to find candies from previous decades. Mom’s and Dad’s love to share their favorites with their children from when they were little!
Insider Tip!
If you have very young children, it is recommended to bring a stroller. There are carts available, but they do not have a place for children to sit.
Young children can get very excited with all of the candy to see and touch, so having a stroller can help! It will help to limit the spread of COVID-19 as well as help with social distancing. We know it can be difficult for young children to remember and understand!
Best Time To Go?
Saturdays and Sundays are the busiest days at Minnesota’s largest candy store. That has held during the COVID-19 pandemic. Weekdays and mornings are the best time to visit to avoid crowds. You will have plenty of space and time to explore the store in all of its glory.
Masks are not required for all, but many customers have been wearing them. During busy times, social distancing has been more of a challenge, so it may be something to consider when planning your trip!
COVID Safety Friendly!
Minnesota’s largest candy store has implemented safety measures during the pandemic to keep you and your family safe. They limit the number of customers to 50% capacity, which is 325 people at a time. Jim’s Apple Farm will always follow the recommended safety measures to keep you and your family safe.
With a building double the size of a football field, there is plenty of space with this safety measure.
Workers sanitize aisles and products regularly. They all wear masks for your protection. Carts and baskets are also cleaned in between customers to keep all safe from germs and viruses.
Workers have put up safety barriers as well. Plastic dividers are in place between the candy aisles. There is also plexiglass at the checkout counter. They have put considerable effort into protecting their product from outside elements to keep your family safe and comfortable!
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the store. Make sure all those little hands take advantage! There are also arrows on the floor for customers to follow. You can be assured that Jim’s Apple Farm cares!
It is lovely that so many local businesses are now able to open so we can enjoy what they have to offer. Summer is a great time to introduce your children to unique experiences that you may not have considered in the past.
