Seeds & Snowshoes in the Sanctuary!

Head to Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary for an exciting and educational morning of snowshoeing and seeding. They’ll take a tour of the sanctuary and the Dakota sacred site of Wakáŋ Tipi, scattering prepared native plant seeds (gathered from native grasses and wildflowers by volunteers just like you!) as you go. When the snow starts to melt in early spring, it will fix the seeds into the soil for them!
When: Saturday, February 13th, 2021, 10am – noon
Where: Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary
** To protect against the spread of COVID-19, this event will be limited to 20 participants. All participants are expected to wear masks & practice social distance from other households. In the unlikely event that weather or increased COVID risk forces postponement or cancellation of the event, registrants will be notified prior to scheduled event date.

If you have snowshoes, bring ‘em! If you don’t, never fear: St. Paul Parks & Recreation has donated 15 pairs of snowshoes just for this event!
