Opening Ceremonies: Each day the Powderhorn Art Fair will begin with an opening ceremony to celebrate art and community. Join us in honoring community members and artists alike. Take a moment to check out Flags Up For, an installation of flags featuring people, places, and ideas that the community wants to honor.  Ceremonies will take place from 9:30 am to 10:00 am in the Family Zone in the northwest section of Powderhorn Park.

Immersive Art Installations: Immersive Art Installations will offer fair-goers interactive experiences that transport them into the artist’s vision. Installations will be open to the public Saturday, August 6th, and Sunday, August 7th from 10 AM to 5 PM daily in Powderhorn Park.

Family Zone:  The Family Zone offers an exciting schedule of activities for kids! It’s a great spot to take a break, halfway around Powderhorn Lake, in the shade, grab an ice cream cone, and have some fun.

  • Hosmer Library presents storytime with songs and interactive fun! Participate in story-time at 10 AM on Saturday.
  • Edith Karras is a local author in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood. Join Edith for a reading of ‘Let’s Go For A Wander’, a book that celebrates discovery. Participate in storytime on Saturday at 11 AM.
  • Starburst Arts will be onsite for fun dynamic face painting on Saturday and Sunday!
