Experience Minnesota’s treasured nightscapes like never before in this unique, limited-time live planetarium presentation (Four shows only). Bell Museum resident artist Mike Shaw will present stunning imagery captured in travels across the state. Experience actual night sky images and time-lapse videos. See the glittering Milky Way arching over Split Rock Lighthouse, the Aurora Borealis dancing along the Gunflint Trail, and rare Comet NEOWISE passing above wetlands near the Twin Cities. Enjoy many of Minnesota’s other spectacular night sky treasures—all projected overhead on the state-of-the-art all-sky dome in the Whitney and Elizabeth MacMillan Planetarium.
Shaw will also demonstrate how stray light from cities and towns affects what you see in Minnesota’s night skies and what you can do to protect them for future generations. You won’t want to miss this unforgettable, limited-engagement event; reserve your seat before they’re gone! Recommended for ages 11+
