Kooped-Up Kids in the Kitchen: Virtual Kids Cooking Class

Join your Hy-Vee Dietitian Melissa for a fun and interactive Facebook Live event where she will guide you and your little chefs through a very simple recipe.
This class will be indulging in a bite-size sweet treat the whole family is sure to love: Berry Phyllo Cups!
For this class you will need the following ingredients:
o vanilla Greek yogurt (could use plain and add additional sweetener as desired)
o honey (could substitute maple syrup, sugar, agave nectar, etc)
o unsweetened cocoa powder
o raspberries (could substitute blueberries, sliced strawberries, blackberries, etc) – you will only need between 1 – 3 berries per phyllo shell depending upon berry used
o 1 package phyllo shells (12, fully baked phyllo shells, thawed) – make sure you have thawed them before class
o Chocolate sauce/melted chocolate to drizzle (optional)
For this class you will need the following cooking utensils:
– Plastic knife or a kid-safe knife (if child is cutting strawberries)
– Small cutting board (if cutting strawberries)
– Small plate (1 per child)
-Small mixing bowl
– small spoon to transfer mixture into piping bag
– measuring cups and spoons (1 cup, 1 tbsp)
– Re-sealable plastic bag or piping bag (1 per child)
Can’t attend live? No problem! Kooped-Up Kids in the Kitchen will be available after the live broadcast on the Savage Hy-Vee Facebook page to view at a time that is more convenient for your family.
