Join Starry Skies North, Mike Lynch (astronomer, author and former WCCO AM Meteorologist), Jessica Heim and Jim Knudson-Kolodzne (indigenous and cultural astronomers) for family-friendly night-sky activities. Listen as author Lauren Stringer reads her children’s book The Dark Was Done and author Paul Bogard reads his children’s book, What if Night? Learn about indigenous star lore and make planispheres showing indigenous constellations, then stargaze using telescopes and your new planispheres. Learn how our night sky has been lost to light pollution, and simple things to do to bring back the night. Register online at woodlakenaturecenter.org.
