1. Wipes

There are so many times when you are out and about with your kids, and they manage to spill that drink you just told them to be careful not to spill! Keep wipes in your purse! If you are out of the diaper bag stage and don’t carry them as often anymore make sure you have some ALWAYS handy in your purse

Even if you do have a diaper bag- have a small pack of them at your fingertips at all times. Trust us; you are going to need them. Drooly face? Wipe. Have they spilled that red juice down the front of their shirt? Blot with a wipe.

Wipes are essential in the mommy arsenal. Make sure you have them on you at all times. Treating a spill on clothing as soon as it happens will save you from having to do a pretreatment before you wash the shirt.

2. Baskets

When cleaning the house, you find various items in one room or downstairs that you know belong in other places. When you find an item that goes somewhere else in the house or belongs to someone else throw it in that person’s basket. Doing this will make it easier to return the items to their correct location more efficiently. 

For ease, you can keep the baskets on the stairs, then when the basket is full, take it up the stairs and return all the items to their usual location. Doing this will cut your cleaning time down and will save you needless trips up and down the stairs!

3. Re-wear clothes

Let’s be real- not all clothes need washing after one wear. Especially the kids’ pajamas! They usually get a bath before they are put into them anyways! So take them off in the morning and fold them and set them aside to be worn the next night.

Re-wearing clothes that were minimally worn will cut back on the amount of laundry that you are having to do and will save you time! So the next time you go to toss something in the dirty laundry basket, ask yourself, “can I wear these jeans again?” You can never go wrong by having to do less laundry!

4. Car snacks

As moms, we all know that our children are hungry 24/7. So this hack works as it sounds, keep small bags of goldfish, cheez-its, or cereal in the center console of your car and the next time your toddler starts complaining pass one back to them. The snack will keep them busy, and if you keep them in the center console, they are easily accessible for you to grab while driving.

5. Music

Everyone enjoys music. The afternoon slump hits, and your toddler refuses to take a nap, but you are exhausted from entertaining them all day. Cue the music!

Build a playlist of some of your kiddo’s favorite songs and play them in the middle of the day for a low key afternoon. Your kid will be dancing or singing to some of their favorite tunes while you’re able to squeeze in a little bit of downtime!

6. Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is a busy momma’s holy grail. There is not always enough time in the day to wake up before your kids, get a workout in, drink your morning coffee, and take a shower. That’s when it’s time to reach for the dry shampoo. 

Dry shampoo is a lifesaver. Dry shampoo will make you feel more put together on those mornings when you have to rush out the door with the kids.

7. Reduce Screentime

We all have bad habits of spending too much time watching videos or mindlessly scrolling through social media. Reducing your screentime will give you more time to get things done. By doing this, you will feel more productive with your day.

8. Set a timer

Setting a timer is a way to increase your productivity. Set a timer for just 10 minutes at a time and try and get as much done as you can in that 10 minutes. It can be cleaning or whatever is on your to-do list. 

Setting a timer will help you stay focused, and you will be surprised at what you can accomplish in a short amount of time. You might also be surprised how much your kids can get done on a timer. Dare your kids to see how much they can clean up in eight minutes and watch them scurry around cleaning.

9. Create a small to-do list

Create a small to-do list with just a couple of tasks that you want to complete the next day. The list should not be anything extravagant. You don’t want to make your to-do list too long and get overwhelmed with all the things that are still left to accomplish. 

But having a list will help you stay on track with your day.

10. Pack ahead of time

Do you have a long day planned? Pack any of your lunches and snacks the night before! Take an extra few minutes in the evening to pack your bag the night before that way in the morning everything is ready to go. 

All you have to do is wake up and get yourself and the kids ready, and then you will be walking out the door in no time. You will be thankful you packed ahead of time!
